Informal Settlement

I woke up and I was wet and cold I discovered that the roof was leaking,I told mom and she put a bucket under the leak,then I said bye to mom and I walked to school. It was very cold and it was raining,there was dirt all over the floor,then I stepped on something very sharp I cut my foot and it was bleeding.I couldn’t call for help because I knew no one was going to help me,and there was no clinic or hospitals,I searched and searched in my bag to find something to rap my cut with, but, I did not have anything.I finally stopped crying and it also stopped raining hard but it was still drizzling. I walked to school limping,on my I saw someone very familiar, it looked like one of my friends from school,but I couldn’t see because it was a bit dark.So when I went closer I discovered it was my friend,she ran to me and gave me a hug and we carried on walking until we got to school , when we got to school the teachers called us inside and we started to work.


The teacher gave us a worksheet and I did not know what we were doing.I could not think and answer the questions but,when I looked at the rest of the worksheet I could only answer one question.

When it was lunch time I just remembered that I did not have lunch or I was hungry,tired and also felt a bit sick,I told my teacher and she gave me a apple and then I was not hungry and break was finished.

What is the PRECEPT?

introduction:  I'm going to be blogging about precepts. In Elkanah House Senior Primary in grade 6 we are reading the book Wonder and if you turn to the page 65 the topic is about  precepts and our teacher is Mrs Copeland. What are Precepts?  Precepts could be quotes,words or sayings. like a saying: don't count your chickens before they hatch. Here is a quote: only i can change my life. No one can do it for me What is the real meaning of Precepts? A precept is a commandment, instruction, or order intended as an authoritative rule of action. Carol Burnett: this is a quote from Carol Burnett: Only i can change my life.No one can do it for me. This stood out for me because when someone is in a fight they can remind them selves about this quote. like if you in a fight like i said you can stand up to that person and say:you cant tell me what to do because you are not the boss of me.

The music inspector

Yesterday I had a bad day.The singing inspector came,his name was Mr Raymond.He looked very miserable and terrifying, I was very scared I did not even talk to my friend Gladys she was also scared,all the children were worried they didn’t even move.He wears huge knickerbockers and thick stocking like a hunting man.He has a round face and eyes like a blue gooseberries and golden curls on his head. When he started talking I started shaking and the children too,he spoke like a mumberling pig,I wanted to laugh but I was scared he would hit me because he had a long stick that can easily hit a child like me After everyone had sang a song it was my turn I was embarrassed because the way he called my name was like I was in trouble.When I finally sang my song everyone clapped and no one said a word after that.
